The new version for Halloween Kills has an October release date a few days after the movie hits theaters. Halloween Kills serves as a sequel to 2018’s Halloween, which has tweaked various sequels to give the franchise a new life continuing from John Carpenter’s 1978 original film. David Gordon Green directed the 2018 film from a script he co-wrote with Danny McBride and Jeff Fradley. Green is once again leading Halloween Kills from a script he co-wrote with McBride and a newcomer to the franchise, Scott Teems. Jamie Lee Curtis will also return to her iconic role as Laurie Strode.
